The return of Pittsburgh band Signs Of The Swarm with their fifth full-length album titled “Amongst the Low & Empty,” set to be released by Century Media Records on July 28th. They have also unveiled a new single from the album called “Tower Of Torsos.” Drummer Bobby Crow comments that they aimed to bring the aggressive style of classic deathcore bands with a fresh twist. Vocalist David Simonich adds that they drew inspiration from the TV series “Hannibal” to write the lyrics, portraying a person chasing the idea of becoming a god and constructing a tower of torsos as a monument of misery. The album is described as an expression of low energy and lack of ideas, but also as a renewal for the band. It was produced by Josh Schroeder and features a blend of styles including death metal, metalcore, djent, and industrial elements. The album consists of 11 intense and heavy tracks.
