The renowned modern metalcore band, Alterhyde, roars into the music scene with the release of their second album, “INTERCAMBIO EQUIVALENTE” (Equivalent Exchange). This new full-length work promises to take genre fans on a journey of extreme challenge and excitement.
Formed in Santiago in 2012, Alterhyde has carved its own path in the metalcore scene, drawing influences from groove metal to nu metal. The current members include Anv-Hysteria on vocals, Diego Mesh on drums, Luis Valenzuela on bass, Cristian Alarcon and Nicolas Muñoz on guitars.
“INTERCAMBIO EQUIVALENTE,” composed of eight unreleased songs, is a bold proposal that reflects the band’s evolution and maturity. Incorporating elements of pop, metal, and progressive rhythms, the album delves into the emotional and technical extremes of music, presenting a dystopian and futuristic soundscape.
The album was recorded at Mesh Studios under the guidance of the band’s drummer, Diego Mesh, and mastered by the talented Pepe Lastarria. The CD artwork was created by Eduardo Correo and Tomas Reid.
The concept of “INTERCAMBIO EQUIVALENTE” alludes to the law of alchemy, which states that in order to obtain something, one must sacrifice something of equal value. This principle is reflected in the band’s commitment and dedication to the creation of this album.
The song repertoire that comprises this work, including “A.N.P.M.,” “Libre” (Free), “Paradoja” (Paradox), “Crystals,” “Tiempos violentos” (Violent Times), “Intercambio equivalente” (Equivalent Exchange), “Fermi,” and “Girando” (Spinning), bears witness to the emotional and technical richness of the band.
Alterhyde aims to connect with the emotions of their audience and transmit positive energy through their music. They hope that this album reaches every possible corner and touches the hearts of listeners.
